CMA CGM is to increase rates on services from northern Europe to the Far East by US$150 per teu from 1 April.
The French shipping line said the rate increase was necessary in order to provide its “valued customers with high quality services”.
It said it would also start quoting its port of origin terminal handling charge separately on the route.
It follows last week’s announcement that from 15 March, rates from the US to Asia and the Indian sub-continent will rise by $150 per teu and $200 per feu and rates to the Middle East will increase $75 per teu.
