The IFW LinkedIn group has broken the 500 member barrier after just six weeks.
The group, called IFW, is a forum for professionals from the freight, air, sea, rail, logistics, road and warehousing industries to network with their peers.
Members use the group for discussing trends, case studies, best practise and comparing general observations about the state of the industry. Discussions are carried out by posting comments and questions online and emails are sent on a regular basis providing updates.
LinkedIn has become the world’s fastest-growing professional networking resource, with 35 million members. It is considered by many the professional person’s version of Facebook.
IFW Editor Kizzi Nkwocha said: “The growth of our LinkedIn group has been very encouraging. With such a geographically dispersed industry, it’s an invaluable resource for sharing thoughts and ideas with our peers – no matter where they are in the world.
“For anyone working in freight, joining our LinkedIn group is an absolute must.”
