Freightliner chairman steps down
Eddie Fitzsimons has stepped down from his position as chairman of Freightliner, following a bout of ill health in March.
The move follows his decision to step down as CEO of freightliner in March because of ill health. He subsequently worked on putting together a new management team.
Fitzsimons was a member of the original Freightliner management buyout team prior to becoming CEO in 2004, he had been MD of both of Freightliner’s operating divisions.
Freightliner CEO Peter Maybury said: “We would like to express our recognition of the enormous contribution Eddie has made in recent years and wish him every success for the future.”
