ECR files competition complaint against SNCF
DB Schenker’s Euro Cargo Rail has filed a complaint against SNCF with France’s competition authority over open access to the network.
In a statement, it said: “Euro Cargo Rail confirms it has deposited a complaint to the Authority of Competition.
“Euro Cargo Rail considers that the methods of access to the French rail network hinder the development of competition in the rail freight market.
It said it could not comment further at this stage, “in order not to interfere with the work of the Rapporteurs of the Authority of Competition”.
SNCF and the Autorite de la Concurrence refused to comment.
