European shortsea carrier Delta Lines is launching a service between Tilbury, Hamburg and St Petersburg.
It is the first time the line has offered a direct service between the UK and Russia, and Delta is deploying the Cartagena and Victoria on the route, both of which have a carrying capacity of 508teu.
The Victoria was previously chartered by CMA CGM on one of its UK feeder services.
