Printer friendly version Email the editor Send to a friend

Cargolux is to launch an Italian subsidiary airline to operate intercontinental all-cargo services from Milan’s Malpensa airport.

Cargolux Italia has applied for a business license and certification with Enac, the Italian civil aviation authority, with the aim of becoming a fully certified Italian all-cargo carrier.

Start of operations is planned as soon as Enac grants the required permits, with a launch date expected in April 2009.

Cargolux Airlines International will represent Cargolux Italia in all commercial matters.

Luxembourg-based Cargolux is Europe’s largest all-cargo airline, operating a fleet of 16 B747-400 freighters covering 90 destinations worldwide.
