Talks aimed at averting a strike by British Airways cabin crew broke down last night after efforts to reach a compromise deal ended in failure
Brendan Barber, general secretary of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), said: “Despite a prolonged period of negotiation, it has not been possible to reach agreement between BA and Unite [union].
“Both parties will be reflecting on the position and the TUC will be keeping in touch, but at this stage no further negotiations are planned.”
