Andover facility follows Somerfield takeover
The Co-operative Group is to lease a 43,500sq metre regional distribution centre at Andover Commercial Park.
The retailer has taken a 20-year lease on the property being developed by Goodman at the north-west corner of the former airfield, with direct links via the A303 to London and the south-west. Construction will start next month.
Following its acquisition of the Somerfield supermarket chain last year, the new warehouse will enable the Co-op to reshape its distribution network in southern England.
