Logistics training company Van Hee has been working closely with Warburtons to get all the drivers at its bakery distribution centres to successfully achieve NVQ Level 2 and become Driver CPC-qualified.

In 2007, the distribution centre was full of agency drivers, resulting in too many accidents and compliance infringements.

Vince Fanning, transport depot manager for Warburton, decided change was needed and hired Van Hee to train the drivers at Enfield and at the bakery’s Paddick Wood distribution depot in Kent.

The London Freight Booster course is a week-long classroom based training programme followed by assessment of how they put the theory into practice in their daily work.

The course covers maintaining the safety and security of loads and contributing to route planning and road safety.
