The American Association of Exporters and Importers (AAEI) has vowed to work closely with the Obama administration on boosting US exports.

The AAEI said it fully supported the president’s call to streamline the process certain companies go through to get their products to market, such as a technical review that can take 30 to 60 days.

The president also wants to eliminate unnecessary obstacles for exporting products to companies with dual-national and third-country-national employees.

AAEI president and CEO Marianne Rowden said: “No other president has demonstrated a better comprehension of export control reform.

“President Obama has a clear understanding of the connection between national security, innovation and job creation by tackling the technical regulatory impediments to exporting goods from the United States.”
