Etihad gets its first A330-200 freighter
New aircraft will allow carrier to increase frequencies and build presence in key markets
Etihad Airways’ cargo division, Eithad Crystal Cargo, has commenced scheduled services with its first A330-200 freighter, operating from Abu Dhabi to Tripoli in Libya.
The new aircraft will allow Etihad to increase frequencies and build its presence in key markets.
It will also be deployed on routes to Hann, Beijing, Miland and N’Djamena.
Etihad is the launch customer of the A330-200 freighter and participated in a handover ceremony with Airbus at the Farnborough International Air Show in July.
The A330-200F can carry up to 64 tonnes of cargo and fly up to 7,400km non-stop.
Etihad is set to take delivery of a second A330-200 freighter in December.
