AA pays up in air cargo price-fix case, but admits no liability

American Airlines (AA) has agreed to pay US$5 million and provide evidence to settle its part of price-fixing legal action that continues to affect the air cargo industry.
Shippers have launched legal proceedings against airlines over alleged price-fixing for cargo services, and although it agreed to pay, the airline has not admitted taking part in a cartel.
Last week, British Airways issued legal proceedings against 32 other airlines in relation to the price-fixing scandal.
